We collect various categories of Personal Information on this Website. If you submit an inquiry or question via an online form or email, we may collect your name, email address, or other Personal Information contained in that correspondence. If you are a potential candidate, we may collect your name and contact details, information about your employment objectives, past and current employment and professional experience, educational background, language skills, and other data that you provide online through a form or a resume or CV. If you are a Client or potential Client, we may collect your name, contact details, title or position, products or services requested, or other information that you provide via online forms or email correspondence. With respect to all Website visitors, we do not wish to collect any “sensitive” Personal Information, such as racial or ethnic origin, age, political, religious, or philosophical beliefs, sexual life, social security or other government identification numbers, trade union membership, health or medical conditions, or criminal history unless legally required for recruiting purposes.

For the purposes of this Privacy Statement a Candidate includes:

Someone we identify as a potential job seeker through external resources; An active job seeker who registers with us with the purpose of us helping them to find a job or applies to a role that we have advertised; A candidate that has been placed via a 3rd Party on a temporary, permanent or contract basis.

Data processing is any activity that involves the use of personal data. It includes obtaining, recording or holding the data, or carrying out any operation or set of operations on the data including organising, amending, retrieving, using, disclosing, erasing or destroying it. Processing also includes transmitting or transferring personal data to third parties. We will transfer your Personal Data to a third party only within the scope of legal provisions, i.e. if we are obliged to transfer the data due to a government or court order, or if applicable legal provisions authorize the transfer.

 

How long do we keep your information?

Once we have obtained your information, we will keep your information in case any other opportunities become available which you might be interested in; we will keep your information and your details will be kept until your 65th birthday.

 

What kind of data will you share with us?

Your Contact Details including name, email, address and telephone number, your career history, qualifications, Country of residence, and any other personal information you include in your interactions with UNITE. We may also ask for additional information to assist us with our recruitment process and in the event you are offered a job an example would be Date of Birth or other details.

We carry out video interviews using a third party platform. Any personal information you share in a video will be shared with UNITE as part of the application process.

You may also share details of other people with us; for example, if somebody else referred the job to you (someone you know at UNITE or otherwise). In those circumstances, you will need to check with that person that they are happy for you to share their personal information with us, and for us to use it in accordance with this Careers Privacy Policy.

You should carefully review those privacy policies before you use these sites to make sure that you are happy with how your personal information is being collected and share.

 

Information we collect from other sources

We collect some personal information about you from other sources; namely, previous employer(s), your references, recruitment agencies and from providers of services that allow us to verify the details that you provide to us (for example, when we undertake criminal records or identification checks). We collect as little personal information as possible during the recruitment processes; if you are successful, then we will undertake more detailed pre-employment screening and vetting.
