Reporting directly into the CEO/CTO, the Sales Director will be responsible for marketing and selling the Company's software as a service to clients within the financial sector in the whole EMEA territory. His mission is to create an appropriate sales and marketing strategy, lead and manage the sales to achieve revenue targets and to grow the business. The selected candidate will cooperate with the CEO to discuss any sales related topics in order to ensure best strategy.
Primary Roles/Responsibilities
Creating and owning the sales and marketing strategy.
Building out and managing a sales team as the business grows.
Creating the marketing material.
Pitching the product to potential clients. e.g. Company COO's.
Generating and closing out sales leads to build critical mass on the platform.
Skills
Ability to create marketing material, including direct mail and website based, targeting professional software as a service clients.
Ability to come in at the start of a product lifecycle and drive the sales and marketing strategy.
Ability to sell 3rd party software to senior execs, including in the financial sector.
Commercial judgement.
University degree educated.
Minimum of 10 years relevant sales and marketing experience.
Successfully sold early stage, 3rd party software to companies including financial institutions.
Understanding of how buy / sell side financial institutions are set up and operate.
Understanding of software licensing agreements.
Self-motivated, organized, results orientated with a positive outlook.
Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
